Towards the end of the Hades arc back when the manga was being published weekly, Saint Seiya started to greatly decline in popularity as loads of new series in Weekly Shonen Jump were taking the spotlight, to the point that Saint Seiya ended up being canceled either right before or during the Hades fight and having a rushed ending.

Congrats on finishing the “main” story of Saint Seiya in anime form. A bit sad due to movie 5 being a box office failure in Japan, lead to the budget of Inferno and Elysion being so reduced. Imagine the fights if they still had the budget of Hades Sanctuary.

Anyway. In terms of anime, there’s no other way to go. The story continues in the manga Next Dimension. But even as a hardcore SS fan, I really can’t recommend it. Read it if you’re really interested and invested in SS still haha.

Also, you can interpret movie 5 as the series “ending”. Since that was the original plan. Making a trilogy of movies around the gods of Olympus and Zeus versus Athena and the saints. I hope this plot line is revived again in anime form. But I’ve given up hope haha.

There are still some anime spin offs like Omega, Soul of Gold, and Saintia Sho, if you just want more SS related stuff. Omega is particularly overhated. But it’s a good watch if you’re patient with it.
